Another Week, Another Study: People Still Not Interested In Mobile Video

Following plenty of previous stories explaining the lack of interest in mobile video comes yet another study from another analyst firm saying few US mobile users want video. Just one in eight respondents are interesting in buying video content from their carrier, while two-thirds aren’t ready for video services on their handsets — a figure unchanged from a similar study last year. Somehow, though, the analyst firm thinks this justifies the expense of building out mobile video technology, even though it says that operators’ most valuable customers — those with long-term loyalty — are the least interested in mobile video.
