When Presidents Are Too Accessible

from the looking-for-a-good-time?--call-the-Indonesian-President dept

While some politicians have discovered it’s easier to just block out new technologies that make communication easier to avoid the various hassles associated with it, Indonesia’s President somehow thought it would be a good idea, not to share his email address with people, but his mobile phone number. As you might imagine, it got a few calls. A few thousand, actually. In fact, however many it was, it knocked out the system completely so that no calls could get through. One hopes he gave out his “other” mobile phone number, as opposed to, say, the one he actually uses to communicate.
