AT&T Still Moving Ahead With Sprint MVNO?

When SBC first agreed to take over AT&T many people figured that the deal between AT&T and Sprint to create an MVNO for the “new” AT&T Wireless would be scrapped. AT&T however, played the diplomat, claiming they still planned to launch a wireless service, but they wouldn’t provide any details. Now, some are reporting on evidence that AT&T is continuing to move forward with the MVNO deal with Sprint, even as they wait for the SBC deal to close. This makes sense, on the off-chance that the deal doesn’t go through, but you have to wonder how big a marketing effort they’ll make — and how many people are going to sign up for a service that seems destined to not last particularly long.
