Camera Phone Quality Improving
Some of the more bizarre early criticisms of the concept of camera phones seemed to focus on how the quality of the photos isn’t very good. While that’s true, that hardly seems like a reason to condemn the whole concept — especially as it’s been obvious from the very first camera phone, that the quality of the camera side was only going to get better. While some other countries have had access to higher resolution cameraphones for a little while, it looks like higher resolutions cameraphones are finally coming to the US — especially now that carriers realize that higher quality cameras means more photos taken and (they hope) more photos being sent via various data services. Derek adds: Every Luddite knows: Picture phones will fail because of bad quality, for the same reasons that film cameras failed because Daguerrotypes had bad quality!
