Woman Accused Of Identity Theft While Harassing Self

from the all-differnet-types-of-crimes dept

People really do have too much free time on their hands sometimes. A woman who was upset that a former co-worker had started dating one of her friends, apparently created a fake email address pretending to be that ex-coworker and then sent “harassing” emails to herself — which she then forwarded on to friends. For all of this, she got herself charged with identity theft. Her lawyer claims no actual crime was committed: “I am going to be exploring whether the facts in the affidavit, even if true, constitute a crime.”
