What The Hell Are The Carriers Offering?

A new study has shown that wireless carriers still haven’t quite gotten the hang of clearly describing exactly what their calling plans are, and for that reason, customers aren’t signing up for them. In fact, the report suggests that carriers are losing $3 billion per year due to the churn and damaged brands from the way carriers communicate with subscribers. While you could question exactly how they came up with the $3 billion number (it may be losses for some, gains for others, after all…), there’s no doubt that carriers could and should do a much better job communicating with customers what their options are, and trying to make sure that the plans meet their needs. It’s not just the calling plans, either, as bills and general information seem to be presented in a confusing, non-customer friendly manner. These things seem fairly obvious, but so far, not much has been done to improve the situation.
