You've Got Dust… Networks
from the there-we-go dept
For quite some time, we’ve been hearing various stories about “smart dust” with most of the talk coming from Dust Networks. After all this time, they’ve finally launched a product. It’s clearly nowhere near the “smart dust” level yet, but looks to be a wireless mesh networking technology for letting a variety of sensors communicate easily, without killing batteries too quickly. Still, it’s a big step forward for the space, meaning we should expect plenty of gushing news stories about the technology in the near future.
