How Many Sick Days Does Your Computer Have?

A new study from Yahoo in the UK shows that the average British computer has nine “sick days”, where the owner has to waste time fixing problems instead of being productive. Six of those nine days are due to dealing with spam, and the other three are from viruses. Once again, though, people are looking to their ISP to solve this problem, even if ISPs have been hesitant to do so. It’s getting to the point, however, where ISPs that don’t aggressively police their networks for spam, viruses and other malware may start losing customers to those that do.
