France Invaded By German MVNO

MVNOs are everywhere these days. Companies are finally realizing that there’s no reason to set up expensive networks when you can just piggyback on someone else’s network and market the hell out of it. So, it’s really no surprise to that France has gotten their first MVNO in the form of German company Debitel. They partnered with SFR to offer mobile service in France. Of course, with everyone focused on MVNOs these days, it does make you wonder how well they’ll be able to differentiate long term. People still rate their mobile experience by the quality of the network – and if the networks are all the same, will it really matter who’s marketing the service?
