How Relevant Can You Make My Mobile Spam?

A new study shows that many folks in the UK are more than willing to receive coupons on their mobile phone – but only if they opt-in and only if they’re relevant. That, of course, is the trick. Lots of people “opted-in” to email promotions early on, never realizing that one day we’d all be overwhelmed by spam. Even many promotional deals that people signed up for, they no longer want, since they’re rarely relevant and show up way too often. It looks like the same thing may end up happening in the mobile space as companies get a little too anxious to get people to “opt-in” to mobile spam.
