Bidding For A Role In A Really Bad Movie
from the forget-reality-TV---now-you-can-pay-to-be-in-a-bad-movie dept
A German director (who has never actually directed a movie before) is getting ready to shoot a new movie where all of the actors bid for their roles on eBay. In other words, rather than choosing good actors, they’ve chosen actors who have money to waste. If you have an impressive enough memory, you might realize that this is not a new concept. Four years ago, Adam Rifkin (director of such non-hits as The Chase, Mouse Hunt and Small Soldiers) hatched a nearly identical plan. Despite some early press coverage and backing from Blockbuster (who promised to carry videotapes of the movie – no matter how dreadful it turned out to be), I can’t seem to find any news about what happened to this project. It certainly doesn’t look like it was ever completed.

Different Model for a Porno
For a porno movie, you would have the reverse problem, with “actors” providing the lowest bid, and some offering to pay (although with the latest scare, new “precautions” would have to be in place or your pool of willing actors be diminished).
