Red Hat Going On The Offensive Against SCO

from the keep-on-moving dept

Not that their situation ever looked good, but things are looking worse for SCO every day. Just after one of their major investors basically asked for their money back, Red Hat is trying to convince a judge that they don’t even need to wait for the IBM case to finish (which could take quite a while) to go over their own case. Red Hat points out that the cases are entirely different, as the IBM case focuses on a contractual dispute, while Red Hat’s charges against SCO focus on how SCO is damaging Red Hat’s business. In fact, they point out that by staying the case until after the IBM decision, they’re only allowing SCO to continue its damaging campaign.
