Tough Time To Be An IT Control Freak
A bit of a rambling piece, but the conclusion provides a good reminder for control freak IT folks who haven’t realized that many employees are making their own wireless technology choices these days. That’s often because the technology isn’t that expensive and it has applications outside of the office. In the old world, when IT had to supply expensive desktops, of course they had control. But, when everyone wants their own laptop, mobile phone, WiFi card and PDA, it’s a different story.
