Yet Another ArrayComm iBurst Trial

It’s getting to be a little ridiculous to hear about yet another ArrayComm iBurst trial. Every few months there’s another report of such a trial, and some good inflammatory quotes from Marty Cooper about why iBurst is going to beat out all those other wireless broadband technologies. At some point, there’s got to be a little more than talk and trials. The press seem to love the ArrayComm story, but getting the technology out there where people can actually use it (on more than a trial basis) still hasn’t happened, which should raise some questions. Of course, trials are better than nothing, and it’s good to hear about more, but this is a technology that has been around for a while, and gone through an awful lot of trials. There’s a point at which you begin to wonder what’s really going on.
