KDDI Continues To Add Most New Subscribers

Japanese carrier KDDI continued to win the greatest share of new customer adds in March, with 475,700 adds, beating out rival DoCoMo as they have steadily since late last year. However, all is not doom and gloom for DoCoMo: as expected, they are converting an increasing number of their 2G iMode customers to upgraded FOMA 3G service, thus increasing their ARPU. DoCoMo now has over 3M 3G customers.
