3D Technology Used For Advertising Beer

from the aren't-you-thirst-now? dept

Lots of companies have been working on 3D displays lately, but most have been focused on ways they could be useful in work settings. One company, though, seems to be focused on the “after-work” setting, instead. X3D Technologies has created a system for bars that will project a 3D image of a beer up to a meter in front of the screen – in an attempt to entice people into buying themselves a pint. Apparently similar systems are already advertising shampoo bottles in Europe – but you could see why beer might be a bigger seller.
