Nokia Admits N-Gage Failure
Despite trying to spin the N-Gage initial problems into happy stories about the almost universally joked about device, Nokia is finally admitting that it hasn’t lived up to expectations at all. The Inquirer suggests that, at best, they’ve sold 25% of their expected numbers. Ouch. However, the Inquirer also suspects (with good reason) that the reason they’re finally admitting this is they’re getting ready to launch an improved version that deals with many of these problems (will this one also have about 50 different launch parties?). Of course, it remains to be seen whether any new version, no matter how many problems it fixes, can live up the dreadful reputation the device already has.
