UTStarcom Of Alameda California Doubles Earnings
UTStarcom is a maker of telecom infrastructure equipment that’s doing quite well these days.Today, UTS announced it doubled last year’s Q4 earnings to US$66.4M. The company is doing very well in the Chinese market where it owns IP and sells equipment for the rapidly growing XiangLingDong (or “LittleSmart”) wireless service. The ‘limited mobility’ budget wireless service does not allow customers to roam, but gives them a few KM mobility when in range of their home towers.
