Texting Moving More Mainstream

Over in the UK, where text messaging is already much more popular than here in the US, it’s still considered mostly popular with teenagers. However, with the growing popularity of adults text messaging, companies are looking for a way to cash in. There are a number of different ideas, but it’s unclear if any of them will really catch on. From what’s described in the article, it sounds like many companies are going about the process in the wrong way. They’re first looking at what can make money – and then figuring out a way to offer that. That’s never the recipe for a good product. The first question you should ask is what do people want or need – and then try to figure out if there’s a way to make money offering that. Otherwise, we get lots of expensive products and services no one wants.
