Vendor CellStar Ends Relationship With Leap

Here’s news you don’t hear everyday. Provisioning, fulfillment, and logistics services vendor CellStar announced that they would be dropping Leap Wireless as a customer in February. CellStar said that they could not meet their profitability goals with the deal that Leap put on the table. Leap Wireless, which operates the “Cricket” brand of flat-rate cellular service in certain metro areas, recently emerged from Chapter 11. You know… I’m not sure I’ve seen a lot of precedents for vendors dropping customers, but I can’t imagine it’s a good sign for Leap.
