Serial Online Proposer Found Guilty

from the consequences dept

Back in June, there was a lot of press attention paid to American Army Col. Kassem Saleh, stationed in Afghanistan, who had apparently proposed to over 50 women he met online while he was already married. The Army wasn’t too pleased about this, and they’ve now found Col. Saleh guilty of disclosing sensitive information, adultery and conduct unbecoming an officer. It turns out that he also spent thousands of dollars of Army money on international phone calls with these women. Of course, to make this story even more bizarre, someone needs to convince him to sue the various online dating sites from not stopping him from doing this – because, after all, these days, no individual is ever responsible for their own actions.
