Sprint PCS Launches Wireless Video Mail

SPCS has launched a wireless video mail service for use with camera phones. The application will allow customers to record and send 15 second video clips at 15 frames per second with audio to e-mail addresses or other enabled phones. It is powered by LightSurf, and costs an incremental $5 per month on top of Vision 1xRTT service. Since it is available now on the Sanyo VM4500 Push-to-talk phone, I’m curious whether there is a Push-to-send-video functionality (using SIP and an all IP routing) or whether it operates in a silo separate from the Winphoria PTT solution.
