T-Mobile To Roam With Boingo?

There is talk that T-Mobile may end its solo stand as the most isolated WiFi network operator in the country, and offer roaming to/from Boingo. Thus far, T-Mobile, as the biggest single hotspot operator, has chosen to try to forge its own path, as incumbents often do to leverage their lead for loyalty dividends from customers. Usually, the 2,3,4, and 5 players all end up cooperating to take on the leader. That is a battle T-Mobile cannot win. Better to join in and improve the roaming situation of the whole WiFi PWLAN industry. Another possible motivator…what would happen if T-Mobile lost the Starbucks contract?
