Microsoft Sets100 M As 2007 Goal For Annual Mobile OS Sales
Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer has set the 100M in 2007 goal for the mobile OS division of the company, according to Douglas Dedo a marketing manager at MSFT. Whatever they call it: CE, PocketPC, Pro, Stinger, Smartphone, it’s obvious MSFT is serious about the mobile OS space. Despite the 100M target, analysts such as Gartner’s Tod Kort expect MSFT to fall somewhere South of that number, which represents essentially all of Gartner’s predicted shipments for 2007.
