WiFi On Fire

Back in July we had an article about how the University of California at San Diego and San Diego State had set up a high speed WiFi system designed to help firefighters battle fires. Over the summer, the two schools set up a 70 mile line of sight connection for fire-fighters fighting a blaze. You may have heard something about fires down in the San Diego region again lately (understatement…) and the folks over at Daily Wireless have an update on on the firefighting WiFi system, pointing out that the fires have forced the closure of the SDSU campus.
