Amazon Granted 2-Click Shopping Cart Patent

from the do-I-hear-any-patents-for-3-Click-shopping? dept

theodp writes “On the same day New Zealand IT industry heavyweights filed an objection to Amazon’s bid to extend its “1-Click” patent to New Zealand, Amazon was issued U.S. Patent No. 6,629,079 for conducting e-commerce using multiple shopping carts, whose inventive features include the addition of items to multiple shopping carts with only two mouse clicks.” Now, who will patent “3-Click” shopping before Amazon has the chance? Me, I’m working on the elusive “23-Click” shopping cart patent, and then I will set up one of these patent holding companies and go around surfing e-commerce sites. Any site I find that required 23 clicks to buy a product, I’m going to sue for a billion dollars. It’s a business plan that just can’t fail.
