Camera Phone Art

from the all-in-the-eye-of-the-beholder dept

For those who still think that the picture taking quality of camera phones is too weak for anything worthwhile, the Norwegian Theatre in Oslo is holding an art exhibit of camera phone photos. Of course, the technical quality isn’t as high – but as the artists behind the photos point out, that’s not the issue. Being able to shoot artistic photographs has less to do with the equipment, and a lot more to do with the photographer. I did a quick look online and found the website of the group Bromkameratene that took the photos, and despite not understanding the language of the website, a little surfing turned up the photos (I think). Some are quite impressive. Admittedly, they used other tools to process the images and create effects, but the basic composition was all done via a camera phone.
