Latest US Spam Bill Lets Spammers Police Themselves

The latest revision of one of many poorly thought out anti-spam laws in the US will let certain email companies be above the law if they agree to self-regulate themselves. Basically, they’re saying that if they’re a big enough operation, they shouldn’t have to abide by any silly laws. More evidence of why anti-spam legislation in the US doesn’t seem likely to do anything to help solve the spam problem.
