Pennsylvania Wants VoIP To Be Left Alone
from the good-for-them dept
While states like Minnesota are trying to regulate voice over IP players as if they were regular telecom companies (ignoring the vast differences in how they offer service), it appears that lawmakers in Pennsylvania are thinking a little more intelligently about the issue. A state Senator there has proposed a five-year moratorium on regulating VoIP services. This is a pre-emptive move that makes sense to let the various VoIP providers grow.
