Sprint PCS PTT Will Equal Verizon's – Lauer

Sprint PCS President Len Lauer said that the soon to be commercialized Ready Link PTT service will have connection times and service levels similar to Verizon’s. This makes sense since both are on the same network technology, and will use similar solutions. Lauer goes on to say that Sprint PCS’ PTT will offer longer connection times than Nextel, but will offer a wider variety of PTT handsets. Hopefully Sprint PCS will be smart enough to break from the fracas of bashing competitors offerings that seems to have consumed Nextel and VZW. Sprint seems to be off on the right foot by commending Nextel’s strong points, and instead focusing on the differences and advantages of their product. Let’s see how the marketing department spins it when it launches.
