New Amphibious Car For The Wealthy

from the forget-the-ferry dept

Formerly limited to spy movies and dreams, it appears that the amphibious sports car is a reality. Of course, it helps to be a bit wealthy (but, come on, you’ll only need to buy one vehicle instead of two). The Aquada sports car runs about $235,000 and can travel 100 mph on land and 30 mph on water – and can switch from one to the other in seconds. Of course, the convertible has no doors (you gotta climb in over the side – like the boat it is) which some might find limiting. For $235,000 you would expect that they might have figured out a way to water proof door seals. This other article includes a picture, and it does look just like a car in the water.
