Sprint PCS Experimenting With New Messaging Offerings
Sprint PCS is experimenting with a few new messaging offerings for their subscribers. This includes being able to check your email from your phone. Of course, with some effort (often, quite a bit), it has been possible to check your email from a Sprint PCS phone for some time – but this should certainly make the process easier. The second feature seems very niche. It’s one-to-many messaging, and will let you easily send a voice or text message to many recipients. Whoo hoo! Now we can more easily spam people from our Sprint PCS phones… More seriously, I’m not sure how useful this feature is. While it might be useful in some cases for text messaging (something I thought Sprint PCS already let people do…), I’ve had this ability on voicemail before and never could come up with a reason to use it.
