Grokster Accuses Record Labels Of Unfair Practices – OFT Says No Evidence

from the attacking-from-all-sides dept

Well, now it seems that just about everyone has declared fair game on attacking back at the music industry. To be honest, they’ve brought this on themselves with their heavy handed legal moves. The latest is that Grokster has asked the Office of Fair Trading in the UK to investigate the music industry for being a cartel, and violating fair trade laws. The arguments is that they’re a cartel because they refuse to talk to him, which seems a little weak. The OFT has so far said they don’t see any evidence of unfair competitive behavior, but they have asked Grokster to put together any more material it has on the matter.
