More WiFi On Trains

A little short on details, but apparently some trains in the UK will soon let passengers have broadband WiFi access while traveling around the country. It’s based on a similar system already in place in Sweden, but there’s no indication of how the backhaul works, what sorts of speeds customers will get or how much it’s going to cost. Still, yet another step towards ubiquitous (or close enough) WiFi. Update: My local train system, Caltrans is also going to be offering WiFi as a test. Might have to check that out.
