AT&T Will Bundle Broadband With Phone Service

from the wait,-didn't-they-just-sell-at&t-broadband...? dept

I always wondered why AT&T sold off all their various pieces, and ended up keeping the one with the least amount of value (long distance). It appears they may be rethinking some of those moves. A couple months back they signed a new deal with AT&T Wireless to keep the two (separate) companies associated, once they realized that the landline business needed a wireless partner. Now, having sold off AT&T Broadband to Comcast, they’re apparently realizing that having a broadband offering wouldn’t be such a bad idea either. Thus, AT&T is about to launch a new broadband offering, though, this time it will be over DSL since they no longer have the cable lines.
