Suit Alleges Prison Sold Pirated CDs

from the oops dept

A record company has now filed a lawsuit against a prison in Louisiana, saying that prison officials sold music CDs they burned to prisoners. The suit claims that all prisoners were given a list of 330 songs, and could have a custom CD created for $3. A prisoner was in charge of using a CD-burner to create the CDs. I guess I’m not really up on prison amenities, but I had no idea prisoners had access to CD players.
