Sprint PCS Taps Lucent For A Cool Billion
Sprint PCS is turning to Lucent to upgrade their CDMA network in a multi-year deal valued at a Billion dollars. The infrastructure included involves switching, compression, and 1xRTT gear. Services will be rendered by Lucent Worldwide Services, and both companies are up on the announcement. Lucent stock bumped up 6% in mid-day trading.
