The Comeback Of The Mobile Internet
Bill Gurley, the well-known venture capitalist, has just discovered that people actually use their mobile phones for data, and seems to think he’s discovered something that no one else has. He talks about how this is a huge opportunity, and it’s going to dwarf the PC revolution, because so many more people have mobile phones, and, soon, all those people will be playing pong or space invaders (for a small fee, of course). While I do agree that it’s a big market with plenty of opportunity, I get worried when venture capitalists start talking up just what a huge market something is, when there are still plenty of questions that need to be answered.

I whipped up a WAP interface to MobileTracker to be ahead of the curve :).

The big problem is the postage stamp sized screen… Some phones are getting around that, but the vast majority are still dinky.
