The issue of interoperability of MMS messaging has been discussed here repeatedly. The fact that the various carriers took so long to come up with even the slightest plans for interoperability is a farce, and shows just how backwards wireless carriers can be sometimes. Now that a few carriers have announced interoperability, it appears they haven’t spent much time making sure it works. A test by Reuters reporters determined that you still couldn’t send MMS messages between certain carriers on certain phones – despite it being advertised that you could. Once again, the carriers are overhyping and underdelivering, and risk alienating customers (yet again). You would think, one of these days, that they would learn…
