Text-Happy Brits, Spaniards Need Deep Pockets
A new study of text-messaging prices finds that folks in Spain & the UK pay significantly more for their daily dose of SMSing. In fact, they spend three to four times as much as their neighbors in cheap SMS countries Cyprus, Denmark and Norway. I wonder how long such discrepancies can last. In an increasingly connected world, it shouldn’t be long before someone in the UK can figure out a way to send their SMS messages through a cheaper network in Norway. Actual location matters less, and thus, over time, you would expect these prices to normalize across all of Europe.
