Forget F-Stops: These Cameras Have Area Codes

Well, look at that. The NY Times has discovered picture messaging. They basically repeat a bunch of stories that have been covered here and on other wireless-focused blogs over the past few months. Camera phones can be used for both good and bad. It can take pictures of people secretly, but it can also help people catch criminals, or share a moment. The article basically admits that no one knows where this is going. They quote people who think it’s just a fad, and others who think it’s going to change the way people go about their lives. They even point out that it’s going to be much more difficult to lie about what you’re doing, as people may demand immediate photographic evidence.
