Court Decision Signals Lower Mobile Phone Costs
A court in the UK has upheld a ruling saying that the various UK wireless carriers need to cut their “termination charges” they tack on for calling across each other’s networks. This follows from last year’s decision that the firms were clearly overcharging. The carriers claim that this will put them in a “financial straitjacket” since they can no longer scam customers into believing the high extra charges were required in some way.
