Encrypted SMS Application Developed
There are plenty of stories of just how insecure SMS messages are, though not too many people seem to mind that much. Now, however, a company has come along to offer encrypted SMS for those who are especially worried about who might be reading their daily text messages. Now, the real question is how many people are going to care enough to go the extra step to encrypt their SMS messages. At this point – unless it gets incorporated into carrier offerings – I’m guessing it will be a small group, along the same lines as those who use PGP to sign their emails.
