Cyber School To Shut Down

from the and-so-it-goes dept

Last year we had a story mentioning the Einstein Online Academy, and online charter school that had been accused of all sorts of fraud. People were saying that it was basically set up as a scam to get state money for its founders. It appears the school made it through one more year, and has now been forced to shutdown. Despite all the legal troubles the school has faced, some parents are upset about the decision to shut the school down, saying that it has really helped their children. The folks responsible for revoking the school’s charter say the decision was mainly due to the financial and legal questions – with little emphasis placed on the actual quality of education.
