T-Mobile Integrates Voice, HotSpot Billing

For a while now, people have been wondering how T-Mobile was going to integrate their WiFi and cellular strategies. It seems they’re now taking the first step. They’re offering integrated billing for both – and are offering discounted WiFi hotspot rates for those who are subscribers to T-Mobile mobile phone plans. This is actually a bit more tempting to me. If you use T-Mobile (and I do, for my Danger hiptop), then you can get $20/month service at any T-Mobile hotspot. It’s not in the article, but I know I read somewhere else that the $20/month offer also doesn’t require a yearly-contract. If there were more hotspots (and I know they’re increasing all the time), and the price continues to drop (less than $10 month seems much more compelling), this might actually start to get closer to reasonable.
