Infogrames Changes Name to Atari

from the needing-a-little-bit-of-history... dept

Okay, this one brings back a little bit of nostalgia, since my first “computer” was an Atari 800. It appears that Infogrames was getting sick of every article about it needing to mention that they now owned all the rights to the Atari brand, and realized it was probably just easier to

completely change their name to Atari. Of course, some (like me) might associate such a company with those (very) old products, rather than their new blockbusters – such as the “Enter the Matrix” game that they’ve produced.
