Wireless Manners; How To Piss Off Your Guests
Intel has gone WiFi crazy in the last few months as they are pitching Centrino’s wireless capabilities just about everywhere. So, it’s a bit shocking to find out that their latest Developer Forum in Berlin is very much lacking WiFi coverage. While it still bothers me to find out that any conference I attend doesn’t have the common courtesy to set up WiFi, the fact that Intel would do so is positively stunning. Even worse, when asked about getting access to a WiFi network that has been set up for Intel’s use only during a keynote presentation, Guy Kewney was told: “Sorry if this offends, but the keynote isn’t a time for you to do your email.”
