America Online Dials In Symbian

AOL and Symbian have announced plans to create a version of AOL’s software for Symbian-based phones. While there have been other efforts to put AOL’s IM products (both AIM and ICQ) on phones, this one should go much broader. While I don’t necessarily think that your average AOL user is going to be an early adopter of doing much data work via their mobile phone (though, maybe I’m wrong on that one…), it certainly shows that companies like AOL are starting to get more serious about their wireless plans.
