Want To Beat The Enemy? Win The Information War

from the battling-information dept

The NY Times is running an interesting review of the book The New Face of War: How War Will Be Fought in the 21st Century, which appears to focus on the importance of information warfare. The review says it makes some good points, but falls flat on the technology front – where many other books have done a better job explaining the implications of modern information technology. Overall, it sounds like the book doesn’t cover the issues with enough depth to make it that worthwhile a read. The reviewer also complains that the use of word “information” is way too broadly used in the book so that you really don’t know what an “information war” really means.
