Virgin Mobile Passes Half Million Mark In The USA

Clearly, I’m not in Virgin Mobile USA’s target audience – since I haven’t seen the tinyiest bit of advertising for them. There also hadn’t been that much news about their launch either – and I had assumed it wasn’t going all that well. Back in February, though, they announced that things were going great, and they had signed up 350,000 subscribers. Now, two months later, they’ve announced that they’ve hit the half million mark. The company also claims (why wouldn’t they?) that they’ve received consistently high customer satisfaction ratings. I’m still waiting to see if other MVNOs use this as a reason to launch their own offerings in the US. With all the wireless competition here, it still seems like it would take quite a lot of effort to attract enough attention to make it worthwhile.
